When Laura Jackson walked on at the University of Arizona her freshman year, not many people had ever heard of her. However, by her Senior year, her success spoke for itself making her a well known name in the world of swimming. She ended her college career a 7-Time NCAA Champion, a 3-Time American Record Holder, and only narrowly missed the Olympic Team in 2008 after breaking the American Record in the 50 meter freestyle at Olympic Trials. From walk-on to stand-out, it was hard to believe Jackson had only been swimming full time for four years.

Lara is known as one of the hardest working swimmers on her team as she’s currently on the path to success training for a spot on the 2012 US Olympic Team. But Lara is more than just an athlete; she’s a teammate and gives back to the community through swim clinics, motivational talks, and work with her charities to help rescue abused or neglected horses. Having grown up in El Paso, TX and now living in Tucson, AZ, Lara has a strong connection to horses, including her current horse that she recently rescued. In every aspect of her life, the message Lara brings is one of hope, whether to young swimmers fascinated with her swimming achievements, or anyone out there that refuses to give up on their dreams.

Amanda Beard made her first Olympic appearance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games at the age of 14, while a student at Irvin High School in Irvine, California. During the games she won silver medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststrokes, and gold in the medley relay. Her young-teen manner captured the attention of the media as she was often photographed clutching her teddy bear, even on the medal stand.

In 2000, Amanda won a bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke at the Sydney Olympics and went on to attend the University of Arizona where she captured an individual NCAA National Championship in 2001.

In 2003 Amanda continued to impress when she became the world champion and world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke. At the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, she won her first individual gold medal in the 200-meter breaststroke and a silver medal in the 200-meter individual medley.

Amanda is the winner of eight United States National titles – three times in both the 200m breaststroke and the 100m breaststroke, plus twice in the 200m individual medley – she was also ranked first in the world for her 200m breaststroke in 2003.

Amanda gained popularity with her swimming expertise, but she is also well known for her other endeavors. Modeling has become a full-time career that she would like to continue and is also interested in more TV hosting opportunities. Amanda spends much of her time doing appearances for her Olympic Sponsors, speaking engagements for breast cancer awareness and talking with young swimmers throughout the United States about overcoming obstacles and setting high goals. Recently becoming a mother, Amanda can now relate not only to youth and growing dreams, but to parents as well.

Winning 5 Olympic medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics was only the beginning for Nastia Liukin. As the 28.7 million Americans who watched the Games know, Liukin parlayed her extraordinary athletic prowess into a Gold medal in all-around gymnastics, one of only three U.S. women ever to do so. Upon her return from Beijing, Nastia has become America’s sweetheart, gracing covers of US magazine, WWD Beauty Biz, and the front of the iconic Wheaties cereal box, and making several television appearances on TV programs including the hit show Gossip Girl, NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno, HBO’s Costas NOW, and the Oprah Winfrey Show.

MSNBC named Nastia the 2nd most marketable athlete around the same time that she appeared in Glamour Magazine as one of “The 11 greatest bodies on Earth”. By the years’ end, Nastia had received such honors as the Women's Sports Foundation's Individual Sportswoman of the Year and the United States Sports Academy’s Female Athlete of the Year.

Now, she’s looking to make the transition from balance beam to brand spokesperson. To transcend her life beyond the gym, Nastia is focused on a brand positioning centered around promoting healthy living for young women; her message is about fighting teen obesity, getting kids active, giving kids the opportunity to have fun and be healthy.
